The Alpine Inn Guest House main building is a traditional old Cape Dutch style house, situated in George, nestled in the tranquil Garden Route of South Africa.

Alpine Inn, located opposite the Fancourt Golf Estate in George on the Garden Route, is just 6 km from the George airport and is the perfect base for business or a fun filled holiday.

Our well-deserved 3 star “Village Style Inn” is your home away from home, and our accommodation choices range from en suite single or double rooms, as well as 1, 2, and 3 bedroom self-catering units. All our rooms with their own private entrance are stocked daily with tea and coffee, and fresh linen and bath towels are provided.
A full English breakfast is available daily, as well as dinner by pre-arrangement on Mondays to Thursdays.
Alpine Inn is ideally situated for access to all areas of the Garden Route Region, also known as the Eden District, with activities ranging from Golf at one of the many internationally recognized Golf courses, picking strawberries, horse riding, mountain biking, para gliding, surfing and kite surfing, beach and mountain walks, kloofing, fishing, canoeing, farmers markets, health spas, shark cage diving, bunji jumping and so much more. One can also travel over the magnificent Outeniqua mountain range to Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo to experience the world famous Cango caves, Ostrich and Wildlife farms. To the left of George one can travel up the coast to Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Natures Valley and Tsitsikamma, and to the right to the historical town of Mossel Bay.
Your days will be well spent exploring this majestic region, and your evenings can be relaxed in the perfect comfort of the “Alpine Inn“.

In-Room:

All rooms have TV and a fridge as well as tea/coffee facility. Some units are fully equipped for self catering. Our Superior Double rooms, Pool cottages, Executive Flat, and 3 bedroom self catering unit, all have DSTV and many of the self catering units are wired so guests can bring their own decoder and smartcard – please enquire. Wi fi is available – charges apply. All bedding and towels are supplied. Unfortunately pets cannot be accommodated.

George and Oubaai Golf courses. strawberry picking, traveling up the mountains in the Outeniqua Power Van, Victoria Bay and Herold’s Bay, favourite swimming and surfing beaches, horse riding and many other outdoor activities.

George is located in the Cape Wildflower Floral Kingdom next to the coast at the eastern end of the Western Cape Province and has a temperate climate and activities to keep you busy all year round. George is at the center of Nature’s ‘Garden Route’ and nestles at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains. Our airport connects you to and from all the main centers in South Africa and main roads and rail, link with the Klein Karoo hinterland. This is an ideal place to begin your holiday. For the golfer, tourist, holidaymaker or business person there are many enjoyable activities on our doorstep. From Plettenberg Bay to Mossel Bay there are many quality golf courses, with the top courses being situated right across the road from alpine Inn, at Fancourt Golf Estate. There are beautiful beaches, organized fishing trips or whale watching, as well as hiking trips, kloofing, horse riding or paragliding for the more adventurous. Oudtshoorn, famous for it’s Cango Caves is a scenic drive 50 km away over the Outeniqua Pass. For dining-out enthusiasts the local restaurants are a treat.
