Set in the foothills of the magnificent Outeniqua Mountains and surrounded by the unspoiled beaches of the Indian Ocean, Botlierskop Private Game Reserve ensures a truly unique safari experience. Botlierskop Private Game Reserve is an exceptional place for a day visit; get away, special functions, theme evenings or even intimate and exotic weddings.

The reserve is situated on a 4200 ha game farm and comprises of over 26 different species of animals and a wide variety of birds. Wildlife at the reserve includes the rare black Impala, Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Giraffe, Mountain Zebra and Eland.


The Fire Place is a 100 seater restaurant, and is designed to accommodate and spoil guests without compromising on intimacy and comfort. To further enhance the experience, locally produced life entertainment in the form of a pianist or African dancers can be arranged. Both of these are highly recommended and add to the uniqueness and special memories. (The Fire Place restaurant is not open to day visitors.)

Treatments on offer are different massages, facials, body treatments (scrubs and wraps), hand and feet treatments, waxing and a variety of different packages. There is definitely something for everyone.

Bishop Safari Lodge:

Botlierskop’s day centre opened in November 2008. Here, day visitors can enjoy all our activities as well as lunch. The lodge can offer an unforgettable experience as it is ideal for private events, large or small groups an incentive groups.


Botlierskop is easily accessible from Cape Town, a 4 hour scenic drive and lies in the world renowned Garden Route, just of the N2. The reserve is set in a malaria-free area and is in close proximity toGeorge Airport, a 25 minute drive.
